This cartoon shows that American knew about what was happening with World War II and people who were being killed. Nothing was left of them but their bones. When this cartoon says chewed up and spit out by the big bad wolf it is referring to how Hitler brought these people into death camps where people were killed. After they were dead their bodies were burned so their was nothing left of them but their bones. It also shows that we Americans didn’t care about this happening and didn’t think to much about it because it wasn’t our country's problem.

The people in the cot are supposed to be Americans not wanting to face the grim cold facts that there is war going on with millions of people dying. We just wanted to sit in our warm comfy spot instead of facing the grim cold facts that we need to get up and hep to make a change.
